Carlingford Court Medical Centre have GP’s that are your local Hills and Parramatta areas doctors who can provide Ferinject Iron Infusions. Iron infusion is a procedure in which iron is delivered to your body intravenously, meaning into a vein through a needle. We suggest you do some research about possible reactions, in particular about staining at the site of the infusion.
It is important to be aware that there is a possibility of staining and this is often not listed as a possible side effect from the medication itself. The carboxymaltose product information notes a frequency of 1-10/1000

You must see one of our doctors for an appointment to discuss this treatment option prior to the procedure being booked in. This is a Bulk Billed appointment.

If the doctor determines you are eligible for this treatment, you will be given a script to get the Ferinject from a pharmacy. The cost varies between pharmacies, but roughly it is around $40.
The cost to have the infusion at Carlingford Court Medical Centre is $180 (you will receive a Medicare rebate of $73).On weekends the fee is $250.
