IRON INFUSIONS – FERINJECT

At Carlingford Court Medical centre, we are your local Hills and Parramatta areas practice who can provide Ferinject Iron Infusions. Iron infusion is a procedure in which iron is delivered to your body intravenously, meaning into a vein through a needle. This method of delivering medication or supplementation is also known as an intravenous (IV) infusion. Click on this link for further information:

Side Effects:
We suggest you do some research about possible reactions, in particular about staining at the site of the infusion.
It is important to be aware that there is a possibility of staining and this is often not listed as a possible side effect from the medication itself. The carboxymaltose product information notes a frequency of 1-10/1000

At Carlingford Court Medical Centre we take all precautions we can to limit any possible staining.
